Hybrid Timber Frame Home

I helped the client get her design to the stage where we could share it with the local structural engineer.

She wanted to see local timbers in the open living part of the home, the basement entry, and the wrap-around porch.

We use floating tenons as splines to connect the main timbers that support the roof system.

All our joinery is fully housed which makes for a bomber strong structure.

It was fun bringing the milled timber into the round logs for a feature at the gable end porch where many days will be spent relaxing from the beautiful hot summers of Boundary country.

"May the long time sun
Shine upon you
All love surround you
And the pure light
Within you
Guide your way on."
